See You In The Funny Papers: Remembering An Old Friend

Earlier this afternoon I was watching The Mentalist on Hulu, and Patrick said to another character, “See you in the funny papers.” I nearly gasped. Terence Burke used to say that. 

Thing is, today’s heat and humidity had me thinking about Terence. “He would love this,” I thought. He really liked weather like this, it was cray cray. But to be thinking about Terence and then suddenly hear his favorite way to say “good bye”?
