Rick Springfield Is 76!

Funny story. When I was in maybe 7th grade I was a member of Rick Springfield’s fan club. I got a letter “from Rick.” The penmanship of the letter was so cool that I spent actual time studying it, and it became “my” writing forever after that. I don’t know, I just liked the way the e and a looked. That was a long time ago. 

Rick looks great, though! 76. There's some debate about whether or not he had more work done than the facelift (at 24?!) and eye lift that he cops to, but still.

 

My friend Michelle and I went to see Rick twice in the 1980s.The first time was at the Hartford Civic Center, the second at New Haven Coliseum. He put on a great show. We screamed our tween heads off and loved every minute.

 

I remember making our own concert t-shirts. Baseball shirts and iron-ons from the shop at Skate Odyssey.  What, like we could afford real concert shirts? HA!
