Update: this rock is a mile marker, according to Allston Twitter. Yesterday I looked more closely at it, and you can kinda make out what it says on one side, about "mile marker 6." Who knew.
Update: somebody spilled something on the Rock. It's been there for about a year, somehow, through all the whole hella kinda weather. WTF IS IT? I keep forgetting to bring a scrubby sponge and try to clean our Rock. I'll probably get arrested.
